The Ultimate Travel Companion – A Trtl

Hint… it’s not a person, or an animal, but it is the one thing I cannot travel without!

Do you get a stiff neck when flying on a plane? Find it impossible to sleep while traveling? Get tired of doing the “head bob”?

Yeah, I did too. No matter what travel pillow I tried, nothing worked. Leaning your head against the window or another person, especially if they are a stranger, isn’t the best either. I’ve tried tray sleeping as well until my arms fell asleep. The point is, no matter what I tried, it didn’t work. As much as I love to travel, this was a huge problem for me until I took a gamble and bought a Trtl Pillow (pronounced Turtle) about three years ago.

A what you ask? That’s what I thought too. But then I researched it and read the reviews and figured for not that much money, it was worth a try.

What is a Trtl Pillow?

It’s not really a pillow. It’s more of a wrap which is a much better concept for head and neck support.
It’s designed for upright sleeping. Unless you’re able to lay down when you fly, you’re head needs support from all angles, including the front to prevent those head-bobbing episodes.
It’s supportive. Most pillows are squishy and don’t really support your neck well. Your head has to fall so far down to the side for it to even work. With the Trtl Pillow, the support is right on your neck and extends upward to your jaw and downward to your shoulder to provide support in an upright position eliminating your stiff neck.
It’s compact. This is obviously a “must” for travel and can easily be tucked in your carryon bag. It takes up less space than a clunky u-shaped travel pillow.
It’s easy to keep clean. Throw it in the wash anytime you need for a refresher after those long travel adventures.

Bonus: It keeps you warm! I get really cold when I travel on planes so having this scarf-like neck wrap is excellent for providing some extra needed warmth.
